Security doors come in two styles…Lock Box and Full View.  The Lock Box style features 3 separate screens, a separate deadbolt & lever, and 1×2 construction.  The Full View style has one large screen, special Slimline hardware, and 1×3 construction.

An optional feature includes substituting the super bug screen with tempered safety glass, 80% sunscreen material (available in 5 colors), or perforated metal screens (available in door color or black only).  If there’s a concern that the family pet may damage the screen, on Lock Box style doors only, these options can be mixed and matched.  Perhaps bug or sunscreen on the top two screens and a perforated metal screen on the bottom.  It’s the perfect solution.
